Baseball, vacations, and violence-sweet. The article about violence is particularly thought provoking. All of the talk about "respect" and "rules" reminds me a lot about priesthood quorums. I had a Teacher's Quorum leader once tell me that gangs are a substitute for priesthood quorums as well as a ward family. Without church rules and respect for one's religion/self, a boy has to find his own rules and respect. One reason that football is so appealing is that it has plenty of rules and respect that young men need.
